Hohner announces the introduction of a series of revolutionary new apps for the the iPhone/iPod Touch: The Hohner Melodeons.
Mimicking the layout of Hohners iconic Erica Double-Ray diatonic button accordion, these intuitive virtual melodeon apps feature a super responsive, two-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional instrument.
The Hohner Melodeon apps allow musicians to practice scales and tunes on-the-go. Headphones can be used for private practice, or the audio output of the virtual melodeon can be amplified by plugging into computer speakers, or other sound enhancing devices.
Players may enable the note names to be displayed on the buttons.
This app is ideal for the beginning student or professional musician who needs a simple carry-on companion to compliment his or her actual melodeon. While not meant to be a replacement for a real melodeon, the app is a convenient and easy tool for practicing, learning, or teaching.

Very good! Its offer this app in C/G iPhone?
I was hoping there was something like this for my new iPhone (3G). The only things I miss are smaller fingers, and a few bass buttons --- at least the tonic and dominant. Also, I am used to playing on the dusty end of my melodeon (C/G); so my fingerings will have to change a bit. Maybe the bellows direction could be done by tilting the phone? Great job nonetheless!
Sound quality is fair. Buttons are a bit small in the iPhone but what did you expect? My biggest concern is that the sound sometimes sticks and the push/pull fails consistently. Time for an update, Hohner!
It did not work in my iphone!!! Do not waste your money on this. It needs Upgrade for mobil :(
